Horseback Rides

In conjunction with Flying J Outfitters, we are offering Horse trail rides on the Lake Fork Drainage of the High Uintas.
If you are new to Utah or have lived here all your life but have never explored Northeastern Utah’s High Uinta mountains, maybe now is a good time to come take a horse ride and see the beauty that lies “in your own back yard”.
Our horses are gentle mountain raised horses and are ridden very frequently and are well experienced in the woods of Utah. They will take you on a horseback adventure into some of Utah’s best kept secret areas, the High Uinta Mountains which are part of the Ashley National forest. We operate under a special use permit and our horse rides generally begin from the trailhead at Moonlake unless otherwise requested.
- No riding double
- No riders under 6 except the Lead-around Ride
- Prices are per Person
- First come first served
- All trail rides leave from the Lake Fork Trail Head
- All minors under 18 years of age must have a release signed by a parent or legal guardian at the time of signing up for rides.
- 6.2% Utah State Sales Tax and 3% USFS fees will be added to all prices.

Weddings
Have your wedding with the beautiful, unique Moon Lake and surrounding mountains as your backdrop. The bride and groom and all the guests can stay in the cabins before and after the wedding, or just come up for the day.
We have two areas for weddings: one, out in the open with a magnificent view of the lake, which will accommodate about 150 guests, and one that is more secluded in the trees, which will accommodate about fifty guests.
Set up the reception area on the sandy volleyball court and adjacent cement basketball court, if needed. Power is available in the reception area. Each cabin has a restroom and there are two public restrooms within the resort as well.
We will do our best to make your Moon Lake wedding everything you hoped it would be!
